The Accreditation Committee

The Accreditation Committee has full delegated authority from the Council to award or withhold accreditation.  Reporting Inspectors provide reports on institutions on the basis of their observations during the inspection process, but the Committee has the authority to make decisions on accreditation.  The Committee normally meets six times each year.

In addition to making case-by-case decisions on the accreditation of institutions, the Accreditation Committee also has responsibility for keeping BAC's conditions, standards and criteria under review.
